This piece was inspired by my niece as a birthday gift for her. She gave me the prompt of a "red and orange dragon in a blue sky with clouds". It was up to me at that point to bring that to life. This piece is supposed to reflect a whimsical childlike winder. Sparking the wonder of the fantastical world that is a child's imagination.

Process Timelapse

At first the concept of this piece was just a dragon flying in the open sky, but I quickly scrapped that for a more involved scene. after adjusting proportions and correcting the wings on the dragon, I am quite happy with this project.
